Markus Halkola appointed as head of Bonava Finland

Bonava has appointed Markus Halkola as the new Business Unit President for its Finnish division. Halkola, who previously served as a regional manager at the construction firm, assumed the role today.

Bonava CEO Peter Wallin stated that the leadership change is intended to address the evolving requirements of the Finnish housing market as it transitions toward recovery. Wallin noted that Halkola’s previous experience with the company and the local market made him the appropriate choice to lead the unit into its next phase.

This appointment comes as residential construction companies navigate a challenging economic climate. Bonava maintains that it sees long-term potential in the Finnish market and intends to remain active in the region as demand stabilizes.
