Mars, Incorporated announced a $1 million grant through its Mars Impact Fund to World Central Kitchen (WCK) to aid communities affected by recent earthquakes in Venezuela. The funding will support the provision of over 200,000 meals to those impacted by disaster.

Mars, Incorporated has committed $1 million through its Mars Impact Fund to support relief efforts following devastating earthquakes in northern Venezuela. The grant to World Central Kitchen (WCK) will aid in providing over 200,000 meals to families affected by the disaster.
In addition to the financial contribution, Mars' South American businesses are supporting canine search-and-rescue teams, donating food through local organizations, and assisting Venezuelan Mars Associates based in Southern Brazil whose families have been impacted.
Mars and WCK have a history of collaboration, having partnered since 2022 to deliver aid in crisis situations. WCK has served over 600 million meals globally since its founding in 2010.
"We are honored to partner with World Central Kitchen, whose team has the immediate on-the-ground expertise and local relationships needed to deliver hot meals and critical relief to families when they need it most," said Michelle Grogg, Executive Director of the Mars Impact Fund. "In times of crisis, Mars believes we have a responsibility to utilize our global resources to support the recovery of impacted communities."
The company's broader response includes over five tons of food product donations, such as cereal, snacks, and pet food, distributed via local food banks. Mars is also providing support to its Venezuelan Associates in Southern Brazil and has funded the deployment of canine search-and-rescue teams from Argentina and Mexico, in collaboration with the Royal Canin Foundation.
