Insomniac Games has confirmed that the physical disc version of Marvel's Wolverine for PS5 will include all game data, allowing players to start playing immediately. The game is set for a September release.
Insomniac Games has confirmed that the physical disc version of Marvel's Wolverine for PlayStation 5 will contain the complete game data. This means players can begin playing the game directly from the disc upon installation, without requiring a significant additional download.
Jess Reiner-Reed, Senior Project Director at Insomniac Games, stated that while the game will be fully playable from the disc, the development team still advises players to download the day-one patch. This update will incorporate ongoing optimizations, improvements, and bug fixes implemented up to the game's release.
Mike Fitzgerald, Head of Technology at Insomniac, emphasized the studio's commitment to refinement, noting that all available time is dedicated to polishing the game's details and maximizing its potential. "We are doing our utmost to make the game as good as it can possibly be," Fitzgerald said.
Marvel's Wolverine is scheduled for release on September 15. The game marks Insomniac Games' second title based on Marvel characters, following the success of the Marvel's Spider-Man series. Both standard and deluxe editions will be available.
