Massive 12TB Steam Data Leak Includes Abandoned Game Assets
A data leak exceeding 12 terabytes has exposed Steam game builds from 2003-2013. Initial findings include assets related to the cancelled Half-Life 2: Episode 3.

A substantial data leak, amounting to over 12 terabytes, has exposed game builds uploaded to Valve's Steam platform between 2003 and 2013. The sheer volume of the data means a complete analysis is ongoing.
Among the early discoveries are assets reportedly linked to the cancelled Half-Life 2: Episode 3. The leak also contains content cut from Portal 2, and a version of a game called F-Stop, which is set in the Portal universe and built around a camera mechanic.
The exposed data includes titles from third-party developers as well. Early versions of installments from the Call of Duty and Resident Evil series have been unearthed, alongside builds of Mirror's Edge, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Dragon Age: Origins.
Further details are expected to emerge as the data is processed. Security experts have noted that such extensive leaks can potentially reveal sensitive information about ongoing or unreleased projects.
