Master Group Names Rémy Langelier President, Sets Course for 2027 CEO Transition

ST-BRUNO-DE-MONTARVILLE, QC – October 1, 2026 – HVAC-R distributor The Master Group announced today the appointment of Rémy Langelier as its new president. Langelier is scheduled to succeed Louis St-Laurent as Chief Executive Officer in the first quarter of 2027, as the company continues its growth trajectory.

St-Laurent will remain CEO through the transition period and continue with Master until December 2027 in a mentoring capacity, supporting Langelier and the executive team. This phased approach ensures continuity and a smooth handover of leadership responsibilities.

"Master Group is moving forward from a position of strength," St-Laurent stated. "As I looked to the future of the company, it was important that our next leader understands our business, our people, and the culture that has made Master successful. Rémy brings that depth of understanding, along with the experience and judgment to lead Master forward."

Langelier has held various senior leadership roles within The Master Group, overseeing areas such as technology, strategy, and enterprise transformation. Most recently, he led the company's enterprise transformation program, strengthening its capabilities for continued growth across North America.

"I am honored and privileged to take on this responsibility," Langelier said. "My focus will be on building upon our strong foundation while realizing the many opportunities ahead. I look forward to working closely with Louis and our leadership team as we continue to serve our customers and grow the business."

The Master Group is Canada's largest HVAC-R distributor and a significant player in the North American market, employing nearly 2,000 individuals across approximately 100 branches and distribution centers.
