Mastercard Relaunches 'Priceless' Campaign with 'Dreams' Focus
Mastercard has launched its new "Dreams" campaign, highlighting the challenges and tenacity of U.S. small businesses. This initiative reimagines the iconic "Priceless" brand after nearly 30 years.

Mastercard has introduced a new marketing platform called "Dreams," aimed at supporting America's 36 million small businesses as they navigate economic pressures. The campaign will run across various media channels, shifting focus to the individuals behind the businesses serving consumers.
The "Dreams" initiative celebrates the tenacity and determination of entrepreneurs facing challenges such as increased energy prices, supply chain disruptions, and rising labor costs. This marks a significant evolution from Mastercard's nearly 30-year-old "Priceless" campaign, aiming to tell the stories of entrepreneurs building their dream businesses.
Jill Kramer, Mastercard's chief marketing and communications officer, stated the goal is to recognize and actively celebrate entrepreneurs' journeys. The campaign also addresses the broader context of the U.S. economy, where small businesses are vital employers and contributors to GDP, yet face operational hurdles like labor shortages and cybersecurity threats.
To further assist small businesses, particularly those along the New York City Marathon route, Mastercard will share data and a digital guide. This resource is designed to help businesses leverage the spending surge associated with the marathon, providing insights into peak spending times and potential revenue opportunities.
Mastercard's chief economist, Michelle Meyer, noted the campaign's aim to provide actionable economic data to help small businesses plan effectively amidst volatile economic conditions. The campaign also acknowledges the increasing adoption of technology, including AI, by small businesses.
