Materials Testing Consultants Acquires Wisconsin's GeoTest
Materials Testing Consultants, Inc. (MTC) has acquired Wisconsin-based GeoTest, Inc. The transaction expands MTC's technical capacity and geographic footprint across the Great Lakes region.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. and MADISON, Wis., July 23, 2026 – GeoTest, Inc., a Wisconsin-based engineering and testing firm, has been officially acquired by Materials Testing Consultants, Inc. (MTC), a firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, consulting, and independent testing. The acquisition was announced Thursday and is part of MTC's growth strategy in the Great Lakes region.
The combination of MTC and GeoTest aims to strengthen the companies' capacity to support complex infrastructure and commercial projects, bringing together over 80 years of combined experience. GeoTest has operated in Wisconsin since 1997, while MTC has been established in Michigan since 1968.
The integration is expected to expand MTC's network of specialized technical personnel and enhance its regional testing capabilities. The company stated that clients will benefit from broader technical expertise and a more comprehensive range of services. Existing clients are expected to experience a seamless transition, continuing to be served by their established local project teams.
