Materna and deepset Strengthen German AI Expertise
Materna and deepset combine European AI technology with implementation expertise to develop secure production applications.
IT service provider Materna and AI startup deepset have initiated a partnership aimed at strengthening the development and deployment of "made in Germany" AI solutions.
The collaboration merges deepset's European AI expertise, built upon its open Haystack framework, with Materna's extensive experience in implementing and operating reliable AI solutions, particularly for public sector and critical infrastructure clients.
The objective is to enable organizations with stringent data protection, traceability, and control requirements to leverage AI without relinquishing command over their data sources or operational environments. This approach to "sovereign AI" ensures sensitive information remains within the organization and that AI-generated results are based on traceable sources.
The partnership focuses on transforming AI concepts into production-ready, scalable, and secure solutions. Many organizations currently face challenges in integrating individual AI applications into their daily operations cost-effectively and sustainably. Materna's experience from public sector projects, combined with deepset's technological openness, addresses this need.
Both companies believe this collaboration will advance digital sovereignty and innovation in Europe by providing organizations with a secure pathway to utilize AI within their processes.
