IT service provider Materna-Gruppe is strengthening its collaboration with Esri to advance the digital transformation of public administration. The partnership aims to leverage geospatial information as a fundamental element for digitized administrative processes.
The initiative supports a recent three-year cooperation agreement between Esri and Dataport, intended to bolster the digital transformation for the German states of Hamburg, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein, and Saxony-Anhalt. Materna will contribute its expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to develop solutions for areas including command centers, environmental and traffic information systems, internal security systems, and construction and property management.
"We are pleased to be part of the new framework agreement with Dataport," stated Johannes Rosenboom, SVP Sales, Marketing and BDM, Public Sector at Materna. "Leveraging ArcGIS Enterprise products and platform technology, Materna will contribute its GIS know-how, develop functional and technical concepts for highly available GEO applications, and advise the states on the implemented technologies."
Materna and Esri showcased their collaboration and joint solutions at the "Digitaler Staat 2024" congress in Berlin. Key themes included digital sovereignty, citizen participation, digital twins, as well as crisis management and climate change resilience.
