Materna and STACKIT Partner for Sovereign German IT Solutions
IT service provider Materna and German cloud provider STACKIT are entering a strategic partnership to develop sovereign German cloud infrastructure and AI services.
Dortmund/Neckarsulm – IT service provider Materna-Gruppe and STACKIT, the sovereign cloud provider from Schwarz Digits, have announced a comprehensive strategic partnership. The collaboration aims to develop sovereign German IT solutions for public sector and enterprise clients. Materna-Gruppe will also utilize STACKIT's infrastructure for its internal IT environment.
The partnership will focus on developing sovereign German cloud infrastructure and AI service solutions. Both companies emphasize the importance of the collaboration for ensuring digital sovereignty within Germany. "STACKIT's solutions are not only trustworthy and secure by all common criteria, but truly sovereign according to the highest German standards," stated Michael Hagedorn, CEO of Materna-Gruppe.
The partners plan to offer a broad and future-proof portfolio of sovereign cloud infrastructure with extensive services, suitable for data-driven technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI). These solutions will leverage German AI from Aleph Alpha and service management capabilities from ServiceNow, with whom both groups have strategic partnerships.
Through this collaboration, Materna and STACKIT will provide clients with an integrated solution originating from Germany, combining infrastructure, service management, and application development. This aims to ensure high data security, sovereignty, and cost-efficiency for organizations seeking cloud providers with the highest standards of digital sovereignty.
