Materna Group Reports 28 Percent Revenue Increase
IT services group Materna saw its revenue climb to 554 million euros in 2022, marking a 27.8 percent increase. The company also expanded its workforce and strengthened its market position.
Dortmund – The IT services provider Materna Information & Communications SE concluded 2022 with a record revenue of 554 million euros. This represents a significant increase of 27.8 percent compared to the previous year, with organic growth contributing 19.5 percent. The company surpassed the 550 million euro revenue threshold for the first time.
The growth was bolstered by digitization projects within the public sector, including initiatives related to electronic records and the Online Access Act (OZG). Materna also enhanced its public sector offerings through an acquisition, adding solutions for secure mobile communications.
In the industrial sector, Materna's subsidiary cbs Corporate Business Solutions achieved 45 percent growth in SAP consulting services. The company also expanded its international footprint. Demand for industrial solutions, cloud transformations, and strategic acquisitions fueled this growth.
Areas such as Enterprise Service Management and cybersecurity are key growth focuses for Materna. The company has significantly invested in cybersecurity services, particularly following a cyberattack experienced in March 2023.
