Materna wins contract for Berlin's e-archive system
IT service provider Materna has been awarded a contract to implement a digital archive (E-Akte) for the state of Berlin. The project will equip approximately 70,000 workstations.
Dortmund – IT service provider Materna has won a contract to implement a digital archive system (E-Akte) for the state of Berlin following an EU-wide tender process. Materna will act as the general contractor, supported by partners, for the "Digitale Akte Berlin" ICT basic service for Berlin authorities.
The project aims to digitalize Berlin's administration and advance its compliance with e-government legislation. After an initial pilot phase, the electronic archive system is scheduled to be rolled out to around 70,000 workstations in Berlin's public administration by 2025.
Materna, along with partners including Ceyoniq Technology GmbH and Computacenter AG & Co oHG, will be responsible for system design, implementation, training, and ongoing service. The e-archive solution is based on Ceyoniq's "nscale eGov" software, which has also been deployed in similar projects in Germany.
The IT Service Centre Berlin (ITDZ) will manage the technical operation of the system. Materna Group is an international IT service provider offering a comprehensive range of digitalization services to businesses and the public sector.
