Matkahuolto Reduces Price of XXS Parcel

Matkahuolto has reduced the price of its popular XXS parcel by 13 percent to EUR 5.90, making it Finland's most affordable small parcel option for consumer and cash customers as of the beginning of August.

The price adjustment is driven by the rapid growth in shipments between consumers, particularly in the second-hand market. The XXS parcel is well-suited for small e-commerce businesses and for peer-to-peer online sales, facilitating the shipment of items like clothing and books.

A survey conducted by Matkahuolto in June revealed that two out of three Finns have bought or sold used goods online in the past year. Among those under 35, a significant 82 percent have purchased second-hand products online.

Kati Nevalainen, head of Matkahuolto's Parcel Services business, stated that the growth in peer-to-peer commerce has increased the importance of small shipments. With the new pricing, the company aims to meet this demand and offer an economical option for consumers engaged in the second-hand trade.
