Matrix Innovation Raises Tens of Millions RMB for Tactile Sensor Technology
Dongguan-based tactile sensor maker Matrix Innovation has secured tens of millions of RMB in funding. The capital injection will support the development of next-generation data-collection gloves and manufacturing enhancements.
Matrix Innovation, a tactile sensor manufacturer based in Dongguan, has raised tens of millions of RMB from investors including X Square Robot and Songshan Lake investment capital, alongside returning investor XBOT PARK Fund. The proceeds are intended to support the development of a new generation of data-collection gloves, improve supply chain operations, and increase manufacturing capacity.
Established in 2021 by former DJI sensor engineer Kuang Zheng, the company focuses on creating flexible pressure sensors and gloves. These products are designed to capture touch and hand-position data for robotic training applications. Matrix Innovation has introduced six distinct data-glove models, featuring designs with over 360 and more than 800 sensing points.
The company supplies its sensors to robot manufacturers and data-collection firms. In 2025, Matrix Innovation shipped 350,000 sensor sets and anticipates its data-glove shipments to reach several thousand units in 2026.
