Mattamy Asset Management appoints Eric Becker to board of directors
Investment firm Mattamy Asset Management has named entrepreneur and investor Eric Becker to its board of directors, expanding its governance expertise.

Mattamy Asset Management, the parent company of Mattamy Homes, has announced the appointment of Eric Becker to its board of directors. Becker, the founder and co-chairman of the multi-family office Cresset, joins an existing group of external advisors overseeing the company's long-term strategy.
Becker brings experience from his tenure as a co-founder of private equity firm Sterling Partners and his work in healthcare technology and real estate investments. His appointment continues the firm's long-standing governance policy, established in 2010, of utilizing an external board of directors to provide independent oversight and guidance.
CEO Peter Gilgan stated that Becker’s track record in business building and his focus on long-term value creation align with the firm's strategic objectives. The company aims to leverage his background to navigate future growth and organizational evolution.
Becker joins a board that currently includes Kathleen Taylor, Carol Stephenson, David Williams, and Tim Hockey, all of whom hold significant backgrounds in corporate governance and international business. In addition to his corporate roles, Becker is known for his work in philanthropy and as an author on entrepreneurial leadership.
