Mattel and Paramount Announce CEO Changes
Mattel has appointed Roger Lynch as its new CEO. Ynon Kreiz is moving to Paramount as it merges with Warner Bros. Discovery.

Mattel Inc. has appointed Roger Lynch as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Lynch has served on Mattel's board of directors since 2018 and succeeds Ynon Kreiz, who led the toy manufacturer for eight years.
Lynch brings extensive experience from the media industry, having served as CEO of Condé Nast since 2019. His background also includes leadership roles at streaming services such as Pandora and Sling TV.
Concurrently, Paramount announced that Ynon Kreiz will join the company as co-CEO alongside David Ellison. This appointment follows the expected merger of Paramount with Warner Bros. Discovery, a deal valued at approximately $81 billion. Kreiz will oversee the day-to-day management and integration of the combined businesses.
The merger, which has received judicial approval, is slated to close on October 6. The combined entity will encompass major media assets including CNN, CBS, franchises like Harry Potter and Transformers, and cable networks such as Nickelodeon and MTV.
