Mattermost Launches Professional Certification for Critical Infrastructure Engineers

Mattermost has introduced a professional certification program for engineers involved in deploying and operating its platforms within critical environments such as defense and infrastructure. The new certification is being rolled out across Asia Pacific and Japan.

This advanced tier builds upon the existing Associate Technical Certification, launched in January 2026, which has seen significant adoption. The Professional Certification assesses deep expertise in high-availability architecture, identity integration, compliance, and workflow automation, particularly for air-gapped and sovereign environments.

"This certification assures us that every deployment in the region is backed by proven expertise, meeting the technical demands our partners in Asia and Japan operate under," said Devanesan Moses, VP Customer Success & Enablement at Mattermost. The program includes hands-on labs designed to mirror real-world scenarios.

The certification targets system integrators and administrators managing Mattermost production deployments. The platform is designed for organizations in defense, financial services, and critical infrastructure where reliable and secure communication is essential, often requiring operation outside of standard commercial cloud platforms.
