Mattermost Launches Professional Certification for Critical Infrastructure Engineers
Mattermost has introduced a new Professional Certification for engineers and administrators who deploy and operate the platform in high-security, mission-critical communication environments.

Mattermost, a secure collaboration platform, has launched its Professional Certification, a credential designed for engineers, integrators, and administrators who deploy and operate Mattermost in mission-critical, high-security environments. The new tier builds upon the company's existing Associate Certification.
The Professional Certification validates advanced expertise in areas such as high-availability architecture, identity integration, compliance controls, and workflow automation. It specifically addresses skills needed for operating the platform in air-gapped and classified networks, sectors where commercial cloud solutions are often not viable.
Mattermost stated that the certification aims to enhance operational readiness for organizations, accelerate authorization timelines, and ensure a qualified talent pool for secure deployments. Early demand for the certification has been observed across defense, federal, and enterprise sectors.
"The Mattermost Certification Program reflects the operational standards our Government customers require to accomplish their missions," said Corey Hulen, CEO of Mattermost Federal. "The environments they operate in don't have a margin for error — when an engineer shows up to deploy or support Mattermost in a classified network or an air-gapped facility, they need to have already proven they can handle it."
