Maxi-Cosi recalls child seat bases due to faulty indicator
Maxi-Cosi is recalling "FamilyFix Slide Pro" base stations because a visual indicator may falsely suggest a seat is properly attached when it is not securely locked.
Child seat manufacturer Maxi-Cosi has initiated a voluntary recall for its "FamilyFix Slide Pro" base stations. The issue stems from a faulty visual indicator that could incorrectly signal that a child seat is securely attached, even when it is not properly locked.
This potential safety concern affects base stations manufactured between August 20, 2025, and March 24, 2026. The recall specifically applies to the "FamilyFix Slide Pro" bases compatible with the Coral Slide Pro, Pebble Slide Pro, Pearl Slide Pro, and Pearl XL Slide Pro child seats.
Maxi-Cosi is advising customers to check their product's serial number on the company's website or contact customer service to determine if their unit is affected. Customers are instructed to return the faulty bases to the manufacturer for replacement or repair.
Until the issue is resolved, users are recommended to manually verify that the child seat is securely clicked into the base both at the front and the rear.
