Maxon employee gains NFT recognition for 3D animation work
Kevin Rupp, a social media manager at Maxon, has been selected for the Sevens Foundation Genesis Drop exhibition for his 3D animation project.

Kevin Rupp, social media manager at software company Maxon, has been selected by the Sevens Foundation to participate in its Genesis Drop exhibition. His 3D animation, titled "Will Check Grammar for Food," depicts a fictionalized, destitute version of Microsoft Office’s retired assistant, Clippy, and was chosen from over 700 applicants.
To produce the piece, Rupp utilized Cinema 4D, the company's flagship software. The project reflects a broader trend of digital professionals leveraging industry-standard 3D modeling tools to create original work within the emerging NFT space. Rupp integrated internal asset libraries and external motion capture data to complete the animation.
As part of the Sevens Foundation program, the work is currently being auctioned. Rupp stated that he intends to use the project as a foundation for a three-part series, focusing on developing his technical proficiency in 3D design and visual storytelling.
