Maxon Establishes New Research and Development Department

Software company Maxon has announced the establishment of a new Research and Development (R&D) department. The department's objective is to identify and leverage emerging technological advancements and innovations impacting 3D software development, including its flagship product Cinema 4D.

The R&D team will focus on exploring cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), touch interfaces, and 3D printing. The department aims to collaborate with universities, research institutes, and other companies to anticipate and meet evolving customer needs.

Bernd Lutz, who has a background in product management at Maxon and holds a PhD in computer graphics research, will lead the new department. Lutz stated that the R&D team will support the development of new tools and enhance existing software capabilities, including advancements in user experience.

Maxon reiterated its commitment to improving the user experience of Cinema 4D and integrating future technologies like AI. The company has begun recruiting staff for its R&D team and encourages students and interns to apply for positions.
