Maxon expands professional tools to iPad, Windows on Arm, offers free Autograph app
Software company Maxon is bringing its professional 3D and motion graphics tools to iPad and Windows on Arm tablets. The company is also releasing its Autograph application for free.

Maxon is making significant moves to broaden access to its professional 3D and motion graphics software, announcing the debut of Cinema 4D for iPad and expanded support for Windows on Arm (WoA) tablet devices. Additionally, the company is relaunching its Autograph motion graphics application as a free download for individual users.
The initiatives aim to lower the barrier to entry for professional creative work and empower artists to work across more devices. These developments, showcased at NAB 2026, also include new free-access tiers for previously paid software, aligning with a growing demand for flexible and accessible creative tools.
The iPad version of Cinema 4D is optimized for touch workflows, offering core 3D modeling and design capabilities in a mobile-first interface. This version complements the desktop experience, allowing artists to begin projects or explore ideas on the go. Maxon, known for Cinema 4D's user-friendliness, aims to make 3D creation more approachable for emerging artists with this mobile offering.
Autograph, a professional motion graphics and compositing application, returns as a free download for individual users. It combines 2D animation, compositing, and 3D features into a unified environment designed for speed and flexibility. The application supports industry standards and integrates with other Maxon tools like Universe and Red Giant.
Maxon's support for Windows on Arm now includes next-generation tablets and computers, enabling the use of Cinema 4D, ZBrush, and Red Giant tools on these platforms. The Redshift rendering engine will also be available on WoA devices with CPU rendering capabilities. These updates are part of Maxon's Spring 2026 release, signaling a commitment to a more open creative ecosystem for a wider range of creators.
