Maxon integrates Redshift rendering into Revit for architectural visualization

Maxon, a developer of 2D and 3D software, has announced the integration of its Redshift rendering technology into Autodesk Revit. This new Redshift for Revit feature allows architects and designers to create photorealistic 3D visualizations directly within the BIM platform without leaving the software.

Additionally, Maxon has launched a beta program for Redshift for Graphisoft Archicad. This provides design teams with early access to shape Maxon's growing AEC offering and offer feedback on the upcoming integration, which is slated for commercial release later this year. Redshift for Archviz aims to accelerate rendering and enhance image quality for architecture and interior design studios.

CEO David McGavran stated that Redshift for Archviz seeks to establish 3D design as the new standard in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. The integration aims to improve idea communication and decision-making by providing tools that enable a more realistic experience of digital projects.

Maxon will showcase its Redshift integrations at the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design 2026 in San Diego from June 10-13. The company previously released Redshift for Vectorworks in March 2026. New features include depth-of-field effects, context-aware AI library search, and Maxon Plants Smart Transfer for adding vegetation. For Apple users, MetalFX technology is utilized.
