Maxon Releases September Update for Software Suite

Maxon, a developer of professional software for editors, filmmakers, and motion designers, has announced its September release, updating nearly all of its products. The release emphasizes performance improvements and introduces new features across its professional creative application suite.
Cinema 4D 2024 features significant performance gains in interactive playback, alongside enhanced Rigid Body simulations that allow interaction with other simulation types like cloth and pyro. The new Pyro workflow provides artists with greater control for creating realistic fire and smoke effects. The update also includes new vertex normal controls, advanced modeling tools for complex tasks, and a revamped node editor with annotation capabilities.
The Red Giant suite receives updates across Trapcode, Magic Bullet, VFX, and Universe. Trapcode 2024 introduces "Combustion" for realistic thermal dynamics in simulations and "Stroke from Parent" for creating particle trails. VFX 2024 enhances lighting controls and lens flare effects, while Magic Bullet 2024 streamlines color correction with over 30 new presets. Universe 2024 also adds workflow improvements and new presets.
The Redshift rendering engine gains expanded creative freedom with new MatCap and Distorter shader functionalities, alongside performance improvements for multi-core CPUs. Maxon One subscribers will also receive "Maxon Capsules," a collection of new assets including materials for metal and car paint, and 3D models for visualization projects.
