Maxon Releases Software Update with Liquid Simulations

Maxon, a software developer for creative professionals, has released a significant update to its Maxon One product suite, incorporating new features across its Cinema 4D, Redshift, and Maxon Studio applications. The update, designated as Cinema 4D 2025.3, introduces a new liquid simulation system integrated into its existing simulation framework.

Cinema 4D 2025.3 also brings UDIM support, allowing artists to work with optimized texturing across multiple UV tiles for complex meshes. The update includes access to a library of plant models from Laubwerk and an AI-powered search function for finding assets.

In addition to Cinema 4D enhancements, Redshift, Maxon's rendering engine, has received updates. Redshift for Cinema 4D now supports editable per-point attributes on hair curves and improved material representation in the viewport. Houdini and Maya versions of Redshift include workflow improvements for USD procedural content. All Redshift versions benefit from rendering enhancements for dense clouds and fog, alongside a simplified Ambient Occlusion AOV for quicker setup.

The Maxon Studio application has also been updated with a new Create panel. This feature allows users to develop custom motion graphics templates, ensuring brand style guide adherence, and complements a collection of pre-made templates for editors and compositors.
