MaXpeedingrods Adds J5 and J6 Stage1 Turbocharger Families to Performance Lineup
Performance parts manufacturer MaXpeedingrods is launching its new J5 and J6 Stage1 turbocharger families. The series feature distinct bearing technologies and a phased release starting in November 2026.

Performance automotive parts manufacturer MaXpeedingrods has introduced its new J5 and J6 Stage1 turbocharger families, expanding its range of aftermarket forced induction components. The new lines offer additional options for vehicle enthusiasts, automotive workshops, and distributors engaged in performance vehicle builds.
The J5 family utilizes a full-floating journal bearing system, a common design in performance turbochargers known for its serviceability. This makes the J5 a cost-effective and flexible choice for various performance projects. In contrast, the J6 Stage1 family features a dual ceramic ball bearing cartridge, engineered for enhanced responsiveness. Selected J6 Stage1 configurations will also include a port for a turbo speed sensor.
MaXpeedingrods states both families are designed for configurable performance applications. Customers can select turbocharger size and turbine housing A/R ratios based on engine displacement, power targets, and installation layout. Both series incorporate a silicon-molybdenum cast-iron turbine housing and a K418 superalloy turbine wheel, materials chosen for their resilience to high thermal and mechanical loads. The compressor wheel is CNC-machined from forged aluminum.
The initial release of these turbocharger configurations is scheduled for November 2026, with subsequent additions planned in phases. Each unit will be supplied with a VSR high-speed balance report. The company also intends to publish compressor maps and dyno results for select applications to aid customers in their selection process. Founded in 2006, MaXpeedingrods supplies automotive parts to a global market.
