MAYDAY Adds Lice Prevention Detangler Spray to Product Line

MAYDAY, a brand focused on pesticide-free lice prevention and treatment, has introduced its Daily Lice Prevention Detangler Spray. The new product aims to offer daily protection against head lice and expands the company's existing line of prevention products, which includes shampoo and conditioner.

The company stated that the spray has undergone independent testing, which demonstrated its ability to stun and repel 97% of lice and super lice. MAYDAY commissioned specialized testing by a professor at Seoul National University, with DNA verification confirming the lice strains used in efficacy studies were indeed super lice. Super lice are described as genetically mutated head lice that have developed resistance to permethrin and pyrethrin, ingredients common in conventional lice treatments.

"For the first time, parents have access to a lice prevention product that has been tested and proven effective against the exact strains of lice their children are actually being exposed to in schools across America," said Bill Glaab, Founder of MAYDAY, in a press release. "Super lice are resistant to virtually every conventional treatment on the market. We built MAYDAY to change that, and commissioning DNA-verified super lice testing was the only way to prove our products do what we say they do."

The Daily Lice Prevention Detangler Spray joins MAYDAY's Daily Lice Prevention Shampoo and Conditioner, forming a complete daily prevention system. The brand positions these products as a comprehensive routine for ongoing protection against lice.
