Médunik Canada, a Canadian-owned pharmaceutical company, has finalized an exclusive promotional services agreement with Biocodex, a global pharmaceutical group with a Canadian presence, for its epilepsy treatment, Diacomit®.
The agreement will expand Médunik Canada's role in supporting healthcare professionals and families impacted by Dravet syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy. The company will focus on providing information and resources to clinicians treating patients with this condition.
Dravet syndrome typically manifests in the first year of life and can lead to significant developmental challenges. Diacomit, containing the active ingredient stiripentol, is a key therapeutic option for managing seizures associated with the syndrome.
