Meals on Wheels America, Caesars Entertainment, and The Just One Project have initiated a partnership aimed at enhancing food security in Southern Nevada. The collaboration seeks to reduce food waste and deliver sustenance to individuals and families facing hardship in the region.
Meals on Wheels America is contributing surplus food from its National Conference to the initiative. Caesars Entertainment is providing logistical support and resources for the collection and distribution of the food items. The Just One Project's Food Rescue Alliance will manage the safe handling and delivery of the food to local communities.
The project specifically targets areas identified with significant levels of food insecurity. This partnership is expected to improve access to food and concurrently decrease food waste. The goal is to establish a sustainable framework for food assistance in the future.
The collaboration is anticipated to serve as a model for effective partnerships in addressing similar challenges elsewhere.
