Mediar Therapeutics Completes Enrollment in Phase 2 IPF Drug Trial

Mediar Therapeutics announced the completion of patient enrollment for its Phase 2 WISPer study. The trial is evaluating the company's first-in-class antibody, MTX-463, as a potential treatment for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
MTX-463 targets WISP-1, a secreted protein implicated in the progression of fibrotic diseases. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is a chronic, progressive, and fatal lung disease characterized by scarring of lung tissue.
The global study rapidly enrolled 168 patients across more than 70 sites spanning North and South America, Europe, and Australia. Data from the trial are expected at a later date.
