Mediengruppe Offenbach-Post centralizes production for 24 regional titles
Mediengruppe Offenbach-Post has consolidated the production of local pages for 24 regional titles into a single central unit, the Regio-Desk Rhein-Main.
On October 5, Mediengruppe Offenbach-Post launched its new Regio-Desk Rhein-Main, centralizing the production of local newspaper pages for 24 distinct titles. The scope of the centralization includes publications such as the Offenbach-Post, Hanauer Anzeiger, and Frankfurter Neue Presse, alongside various weekly newspapers.
The new desk is staffed by eight employees, most of whom were previously involved in page production within their respective local newsrooms. According to the company, the organizational shift is intended to capture operational synergies and focus resources on strengthening digital reporting.
Management, represented by Thomas Kühnlein and Dr. Max Rempel, stated that the move is designed to provide local newsrooms with more autonomy to focus on regional reporting. The reorganization aims to streamline the production process while maintaining the output of the group's regional media portfolio.
