Medline launches campaign highlighting operating room time efficiency

Medline EMEA has initiated a new campaign titled "10 Minutes That Matter." The campaign's objective is to highlight the significance of time within operating rooms and present solutions that assist healthcare professionals in optimizing their efficiency.

The campaign underscores the demanding environment of operating rooms, where staff consistently face high workloads and complex clinical responsibilities. These factors can contribute to increased stress and burnout, while surgical preparation involves numerous logistical tasks, such as gathering supplies and opening packages.

Medline's campaign references a study that compared custom sterile procedure trays with individually packaged instruments. The study revealed a significant time saving in preparation, with over 10 minutes saved in the time spent by surgical staff opening instrument packs. This recovered time allowed clinical teams to dedicate more attention to the patient and the procedure itself.

"The idea behind this campaign is to put value on time," stated Michela Toffali, Marketing and Communications Director at Medline EMEA. "It is easy to translate small efficiency improvements into numbers, but those minutes hold real value in the operating room." Medline aims to simplify internal processes to help healthcare professionals optimize patient care.

Medline's Sterile Procedure Trays (SPT) consolidate the necessary components for a specific procedure into a single sterile, customized pack. Since 2011, Medline has supplied over 120 million such trays in the EMEA region, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to develop tailored solutions.
