Medline Plans New 800,000-Square-Foot Distribution Center in Michigan

Medline, a major provider of medical-surgical products and supply chain solutions, announced plans to establish a new distribution center in Van Buren Township, Michigan. The approximately 800,000-square-foot facility signifies a new investment in Medline's distribution network, intended to increase capacity and operational flexibility to better serve healthcare providers across the Midwest.

The new center is designed to strengthen Medline's supply chain resilience in Michigan. Billy Abrams, executive vice president of supply chain solutions at Medline, stated that the investment reinforces the company's Michigan network and will equip teams with enhanced tools and resources to serve healthcare providers. The facility is expected to improve customer service through a more robust and responsive supply chain.

Van Buren Township supervisor, Kevin McNamara, welcomed Medline's arrival, highlighting the anticipated job creation and local economic growth. The development of the site is being managed by logistics real estate firm Ashley Capital, with vice president Kevin Hegg affirming the project's role in supporting regional employment and supply chain efficiency.

Expected to be operational by late 2028, the new facility will leverage similar technologies found in other Medline centers and will serve customers throughout Michigan. This expansion addresses the evolving demands of the healthcare sector and aims to ensure reliable product delivery in a key market.
