NORTHFIELD, Ill., July 14, 2026 – Medline, a global manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies, has published its 2025 Sustainability Report. The report outlines the company's advancements across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, including enhanced emissions tracking, investments in product sustainability, and programs supporting employees and communities worldwide.
The company continues to embed sustainability into its operations and decision-making processes, focusing on improving resilience, reducing environmental impact, and advancing responsible business practices.
Key highlights from the report include the "Tote-Cart Initiative," which improved shipping efficiency and reduced greenhouse gas emissions in 2025, avoiding over 78,200 gallons of diesel fuel. Additionally, 46 facilities within Medline's supply chain achieved Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) certification, demonstrating adherence to ethical sourcing principles. The company also expanded its portfolio of products with verified Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and introduced paper-based packaging solutions in its distribution centers to decrease reliance on plastic.
Medline CEO Jim Boyle stated that sustainability has become an increasingly important guidepost for the company's operations. Francesca Olivier, Vice President of Sustainability, indicated that the integration of sustainability will be deepened further in 2026 through collaboration with customers, suppliers, and employees.
