MedStar Health and Monumental Sports & Entertainment Donate $1.1 Million

MedStar Health and Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) have donated $1.1 million to support health services for women, infants, and children in Washington D.C.

The donation continues MSE's five-year commitment to funding MedStar Health programs offering specialized care for birthing mothers, infants, and children. The funding will support the Safe Babies Safe Moms program, the Kids Mobile Medical Clinic, and an intensive mother-baby outpatient program.

The Safe Babies Safe Moms program provides support starting before pregnancy and continuing until a child turns three, including prenatal care, nutritional counseling, parenting education, and mental health resources. The program also assists with transportation, housing, and legal aid.

Additionally, the donation will support the Kids Mobile Medical Clinic, which has provided over 30 years of convenient and affordable primary care to children in several D.C. neighborhoods at no cost to families. The clinic has also expanded its services with a wellness unit to assist families with challenges related to food security, housing, education, and community safety.

MSE's long-standing partnership with MedStar Health highlights the role of sports organizations in giving back to their communities. This donation helps ensure the continuity of these vital healthcare services and improves the well-being of the local community.
