Meijer opened a new 159,000-square-foot supercenter in Plymouth Township, southeast Michigan, on September 30, 2026. The new store, located at 48025 Five Mile Road, marks the chain's 130th location in the state of Michigan.
The store features a wide selection of fresh groceries, an extensive deli and meat department, and a full range of specialty foods, national brands, and Meijer's own brand products. Additionally, the new Meijer supercenter includes a full-service pharmacy and a broad assortment of general merchandise, encompassing dedicated sections for baby and pet items, apparel, beauty products, and floral and garden supplies.
Meijer, a family-owned company headquartered in Michigan, aims to provide value and convenience to its customers. CEO Rick Keyes stated that the store seeks to become an indispensable partner to the community. The company annually donates at least 6% of its net profit to communities in the Midwest.
The store is also supporting the local community with $30,000 in donations to three organizations: First Step, which offers services to victims of violence; Miracle League of Plymouth, which provides baseball opportunities for individuals with special needs; and Plymouth-Canton Educational Foundation, which funds educational programs in local schools.
