Meijer Tops Customer Satisfaction Survey for Convenience Stores
Meijer, a Michigan-based retailer, has been named the most beloved convenience store in the U.S. in a new survey. The chain achieved a score of 82, marking the largest increase among all brands studied.

Meijer, a Michigan-based company, has emerged as the top-ranked convenience store in the United States according to the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) survey. The retailer's Meijer Express locations earned a score of 82, representing the most significant year-over-year improvement for any brand within the study.
In a close competition, QuikTrip, Sheetz, and Wawa tied for second place with scores of 80. Last year's leader, Kwik Trip, saw its score drop by 6% to 79, placing it third. Buc-ee's, known for its large-format stores, ranked seventh with a score of 77.
The convenience store sector overall experienced a slight decline in customer satisfaction, falling 1% to an average score of 75. The ACSI report highlights that while convenience stores are enhancing their offerings, the in-store and digital experience must keep pace with rising customer expectations. "Every new capability is a new expectation. When the app is clunky, the bathroom is neglected, or the store feels disorganized, that shapes how customers judge the entire visit," stated Forrest Morgeson, ACSI's Director of Research Emeritus.
Meijer attributes its success to focusing on value and convenience, particularly through its mPerks rewards program and the accessibility of its Meijer Express stations. "Our team puts a lot of effort into making sure visiting our Meijer Express locations is a great experience," a Meijer spokesperson commented, emphasizing the company's long-standing commitment to its customers.
