Mel Wolfgang Appointed North America Regional Chair at Boston Consulting Group

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has appointed Mel Wolfgang as its new North America Regional Chair, succeeding Sharon Marcil. In this role, Wolfgang will be responsible for overseeing BCG's operations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica.

Wolfgang, who has been with BCG for 27 years, has held multiple leadership positions within the firm. Most recently, he chaired a board committee focused on developing senior partners and led BCG's people agenda at both practice and regional levels. His client work primarily centers on large-scale transformations and change management, particularly within the industrial goods, transportation and logistics, and public sectors.

Wolfgang replaces Sharon Marcil, whose term as North America Regional Chair is ending. During Marcil's tenure, which began in 2021, she played a role in strengthening BCG's regional position amidst significant economic and business changes. Under her leadership, the firm deepened its sector expertise, accelerated its AI initiatives, and enhanced relationships with senior client executives.
