Memecoin generates million-dollar gains on Robinhood's blockchain
A speculative memecoin named CASHCAT has turned small investments into seven-figure sums on Robinhood's new blockchain network.

Early users of the new "Robinhood Chain" network have experienced exceptional gains thanks to the speculative memecoin CASHCAT. The blockchain, developed by an external party to Robinhood, has seen investments grow significantly.
One investor turned an investment worth approximately $838 into over $1 million by purchasing CASHCAT tokens, which surged hundreds of percent on the Arbitrum-based Robinhood Chain. The top five wallets have collectively earned around $3.7 million. Data shows one wallet achieved a return of 1,250 times the original investment.
An investment of around $85 has turned into up to $1.2 million in value, with some already realized. In total, the five most profitable wallets have taken home nearly $3.7 million.
However, the token's stability raises concerns. Its liquidity is only $6.6 million, while its market cap is $105 million. The price has dropped 12% in the last 24 hours, suggesting a potential collapse. Robinhood did not develop or launch this digital asset, and its website describes the project as "fan fiction with a ticker".
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev has previously considered memecoins to be useless, but as transaction volume on the chain has increased, his stance has shifted. The blockchain's primary purpose was to support tokenized traditional stocks and bonds, but speculative trading has quickly provided it with the necessary volume.
