Hollywood, Florida – Memorial Hospital Miramar has achieved a Level III Maternal Levels of Care designation from The Joint Commission. The hospital is one of only two facilities in South Florida to receive this verification. The Joint Commission's verification process assesses a hospital's capacity to manage pregnancy-related complications and the intensive care needs of newborns. A Level III designation signifies a high level of expertise and resources, including the ability to offer comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care, as well as neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) services.
Hospital leadership stated that the designation reflects the dedication and expertise of its medical staff in maternal and neonatal care. The goal is to further enhance patient safety and improve outcomes for women and infants in the region.
