Mental health startup Siggy secures $6M in seed funding
New York-based Siggy has raised $6 million to develop an AI-powered mental health platform that monitors patient progress between clinical appointments.

Siggy, a mental health service founded by Edvard Engesæth and Jonathan Sabbagh, has closed a $6 million seed funding round. The capital is earmarked for clinical and engineering recruitment, software development, and navigating regulatory requirements. The platform integrates AI-driven patient check-ins with data from wearable devices to provide clinicians with longitudinal insights into patient health.
The service addresses a common gap in psychiatric care where significant time elapses between medication management appointments. By tracking sleep, mood, and physiological markers, the software generates a daily score to alert clinicians to shifts in a patient's condition. The founders noted that the system is not intended for crisis intervention but to facilitate more informed medication management.
Village Global led the financing, with participation from several prominent individual investors. Siggy is currently accepting commercial insurance across the United States and has stated that its services will be free for military veterans.
