Mercedes-AMG has unveiled its new 2028 GT SUV, marking the first time in the performance brand's 59-year history that it has developed a full-size SUV entirely in-house from the ground up. The vehicle boasts over 1,150 horsepower.
The new GT SUV is built on Mercedes' high-performance AMG.EA architecture, designed to combine sports-car handling with the practicality of a full-size SUV. It utilizes three axial flux motors.
The electric SUV is equipped for ultra-fast charging capabilities. Mercedes-AMG GT SUV is scheduled to reach the US market next summer.
This release follows the earlier introduction of the GT four-door coupe, which also featured a similar power output.
