Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale announced on July 22, 2026, that it has two custom 2026 Carlex G-Wagen models in stock for immediate delivery. The dealership has also released research and a video walkaround of the vehicles.

Modified by coachbuilder Carlex Design, these G-Wagens feature handcrafted vintage aesthetics paired with a modern twin-turbo V8 engine. The vehicles are presented as suitable for Arizona's desert environment, offering both style and rugged capability.

Interior features include custom vegetable-tanned leathers and alpaca wool accents, designed to withstand high temperatures. The powertrain is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Each vehicle is a unique commission, differing in trim, stitching, and color palette.
