Meriaura Group Expands Operations and Focuses on Environment

Shipping company Meriaura Group has significantly expanded its fleet and services in recent years.

The company has acquired several new cargo vessels, enabling the expansion of operations into new size classes and for the transport of special cargo. The vessel Aura has returned to service as a modified deck cargo ship, and the company has also commissioned new time-chartered vessels.

Meriaura Group has also made strong investments in environmentally friendly solutions. The company has introduced shipping contracts aimed at climate neutrality, and the first transports have been carried out using 100% biofuel. The goal is to create a zero-emission fleet in the future.

The company has also participated in industry development, including dismantling the Inkoo coal power plant and collaborating with research institutions to reduce onboard waste. Meriaura has also received industry recognition, such as the Logistics Company of the Year award and ISO 9001 quality certification.
