Meta Platforms has begun selling its smart Ray-Ban glasses in South Korea, partnering with major telecommunications providers SK Telecom and KT. The sales commenced on Thursday and are available through both companies' online stores and physical retail locations.
The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses feature an integrated camera capable of capturing photos and videos, alongside built-in speakers and microphones for listening to music and making calls. The device also supports voice commands for hands-free operation.
Pricing for the smart glasses starts at approximately $297 for base models and goes up to around $363 for more advanced configurations. A variety of frame colors and styles are offered to consumers.
This move into the South Korean market via telecommunication carriers expands Meta's distribution channels for its wearable technology. It aims to increase consumer access to augmented reality-integrated devices.
