Meta Buys National TV Campaign for New AI Agent Muse
Meta has purchased national television advertising for its new personal AI agent, Muse. CEO Alexandr Wang is also promoting the product through his personal social media account.

Meta has acquired national television advertising slots to promote its new personal AI agent, Muse. The company is further leveraging its owned platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, alongside CEO Alexandr Wang's personal social media presence for the campaign.
Wang announced the purchase of the national TV campaign on September 19. His related social media posts have garnered over 1.4 million views. Muse, which launched on September 8, reached the number one spot on Apple's U.S. free iPhone chart by September 18. In its first two weeks, the app recorded 2.8 million downloads.
Muse is available across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, and WhatsApp. Facebook, Instagram, and Threads integrate directly through Meta's Accounts Center, providing extensive reach without relying solely on paid advertising. Wang has personally engaged in marketing Muse through over 300 social media posts, framing it as "the first AI for the AI skeptics out there."
The company's approach appears to aim at building trust that traditional advertising may not achieve. Consumer trust in Meta for handling sensitive data like passwords has been lower compared to competitors such as Google or Apple. Wang's direct engagement and participation in social media discussions could potentially shift this perception, though the long-term impact of this strategy remains to be measured.
