Meta launches new app to create AI experiences

Meta has launched a new social application named Pocket. The app allows users to create and share small, interactive experiences powered by artificial intelligence through text prompts.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg has emphasized the company's focus on AI as the future of social media. The introduction of Pocket appears to be a step towards his previously stated vision of users creating and sharing interactive AI-driven experiences.

The initiative is supported by engineers Meta hired from Atma Sciences Inc., a company that developed an app called Gizmo. Meta secured a license to utilize Gizmo's technology earlier this year.

Pocket enables the creation of small-scale AI-powered games and interactive applications without requiring coding expertise. Users can provide descriptive prompts to the AI, which then generates an interactive experience based on the input.
