Meta Open Sources Code for Building Custom Muse AI Gadgets
Meta has open sourced the code for its Muse AI agent, enabling users to build their own custom AI-powered devices.

Meta has released the source code for its Muse AI agent as open source, allowing developers and hobbyists to create their own custom AI-powered gadgets. The company suggests projects such as loading Muse onto a color E Ink display for reminders or integrating it into an HDMI stick for display on larger screens. Another proposed use is embedding Muse on a small touchscreen device to create a DIY Muse Charm-like device.
"Muse gadgets are open source devices you build yourself," Meta stated. "Program an off-the-shelf ESP32 board or set up a Raspberry Pi with our SDKs, then connect Muse to your displays, buttons, sensors, actuators, and whatever else you've got lying on your workbench."
The move to open source the Muse AI code aims to foster innovation and allow a broader community to explore new applications and use cases for the technology. This could lead to a variety of novel Muse-based devices tailored to specific user needs.
Meta continues its focus on AI research and development, with the open sourcing of the Muse project representing a step towards broader collaboration and advancement in the field of artificial intelligence.
