Meta raises $15 billion in bond sale for AI infrastructure
Meta has secured $15 billion through a five-part bond offering. The proceeds will fund the expansion of data centers and computing resources for artificial intelligence.

Meta has finalized a $15 billion bond sale as it accelerates capital expenditure on artificial intelligence infrastructure. The capital is designated for the development of new data centers and the procurement of high-performance computing capacity.
Regulatory filings indicate the offering consists of five parts. Key components include $3.25 billion in notes due in 2031 carrying a 5.85% coupon, and an additional $3.25 billion in notes due in 2033 with a 6.25% coupon.
The bond issuance follows recent internal discussions regarding plans for a substantial equity raise. Together, these financial moves highlight Meta's ongoing strategy to maintain a strong liquidity position as it competes to build the underlying infrastructure required for large-scale AI development.
