Meta Releases New AI Model Muse Spark 1.3
Meta Platforms has launched its latest AI model, Muse Spark 1.3, designed to enhance AI agent workflows and coding capabilities. The model competes with offerings from OpenAI and Anthropic.

Meta Platforms released its newest AI model, Muse Spark 1.3, on September 2, 2026. The model is specifically engineered to extend AI agent workflows and improve coding capabilities.
Meta states that Muse Spark 1.3's coding abilities surpass OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol and match the performance of Anthropic's Claude Fable 5.1. The company reports the new model reduces code development iterations and enhances code clarity. It decreases tool calls by approximately 20% and requires 25% fewer tokens to complete the same task compared to its predecessor, Muse Spark 1.2.
Muse Spark 1.3 is optimized for long-duration AI agent tasks. It can manage multiple workflows within a single thread, correct plan deficiencies, and track learning outcomes. When faced with ambiguous instructions, the model requests clarification and seeks user assistance if it encounters obstacles.
The model is available to developers via the Meta Model API with pricing consistent with the previous version: $1.25 per million input tokens, $0.15 per million cache hit input tokens, and $4.25 per million output tokens. Meta plans to gradually integrate the model into Instagram, Facebook, and its Meta AI assistant.
